Gerald Mickler, MEd, LAT, ATC, FMS
School: Noblesville High School
Gerald is a Certified Athletic Trainer who brings a wealth of experience from the collegiate and professional levels of sports medicine to his work with student-athletes at Noblesville High School. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside football, track and field, and soccer programs, giving him a broad perspective on injury prevention, treatment, and return-to-play care across a wide range of sports.
Education and Certification
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Purdue University, Gerald went on to complete his Master of Higher Education at Arizona State University. He is a Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer (LAT, ATC) and holds certification in Functional Movement Systems (FMS).
Gerald’s sports medicine experience includes serving as an assistant athletic trainer for football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as working with football and men’s and women’s track and field at Arizona State University. During his time at Purdue University, he supported football, men’s and women’s track and field, and women’s soccer. He also completed a summer internship with the Buffalo Bills, adding NFL-level experience to his background.
To further support his patients and athletes, Gerald is ImPACT trained for concussion management, experienced in Hydroworx pool therapy, and Y-Balance certified, giving him a well-rounded toolkit for evaluating and treating athletes at every stage of recovery.
